B-Side and rarities albums are becoming the cool thing for a band to release as of lately and so Copeland has joined the pack with “Dressed Up and In Line”. The album spans the band’s entire time line and includes alternate versions, cover songs, an acoustics.

Check out Eric Hutchinson, an amazing artist who I just randomly ran across. He has a style which is a mix of rock/soul/pop.

Taking Back Sunday’s greatest hits album “Notes From The Past” is only for those really hardcore fans, those brand new to the band, or those with too much money. The rest of you out there need not waste your time or money.

Junior Revolution have a sound that is a familiar rock sound yet different enough. The band has enormous potential based some a few of their songs.

Fred Mascherino joined Taking Back Sunday after John Nolan left and now Fred has left to front his new band, The Color Fred. With smooth, attractive music and vocals to match the band has a real chance of going somewhere if only given a chance.

Leave it to Brand New to just randomly release a single new song. The song is slightly different for the band infusing a bit a soulful rock style with Brand New’s typical approach. Hopefully the song is an indication of the direction the band is headed. The song is worth your money.

All the songs try to be epic rock songs with some succeeding and some missing the mark. “I-Empire” does feel like the album that the band wanted to make last time and is better than the band’s debut.

Pop-Rock music and solid vocals should make this former Taking Back Sunday member a big hit. The fact that the songs are laden with hooks doesn’t hurt either.

With the accessibility to attract even your parents. Combined with the ability to add depth and passion to every track, ‘Turn Off the Stars’ has what it takes to compete in the flooded alt. rock genre.

I heard an EP from this piano based band “Lost Ocean” a few months ago, and it was not bad, a little bit bland but it had potential. I get sent the band’s debut full length and it turned out to be a longer version of an already lacking EP.

Saves The Day is on a mission with their 3 albums in 3 years objective. The second in the effort and sixth full length “Under The Boards” is a decent attempt but will likely leave plenty of people wanting more.

This does not have anything to do with music today but if you have not seen San Diego has become a bonfire. As someone who lives here, I’d ask you keep the people who have lost either people or homes in your prayers.

More than half of the songs are ones that the band has released before but nevertheless this is one solid Christmas album. Also despite releasing a Christmas album in late October, Relient K is one of the few bands that can write a song about Santa ‘thumbing’ to town and make it decent.

“Kill The House Lights” is a very interesting mix of new songs, demos, live songs and b-sides. Whether or not the purpose of the record was to show off the different dimensions and pieces of the band it really does. The styles and different tracks that the album has offer should appeal to all the [...]

On the verge of breaking up to then go on to put out what will probably be one of the most well produced, polished, radio friendly records of 2007. The Higher fit into an interesting place in the music spectrum. If I had to categorize “On Fire”, it would get thrown into a pop punk [...]

The album is full of electronic pop songs and should do well if given radio air time. The band just wanted to let you know they are okay with being your guilty pleasure and so the choice is up to you I guess.
Prediction: “Kiss My Sass” will be a break out hit.
