Info On Showbread’s Nervosa & Anorexia
Posted on May 13th, 2008 by Tyler, under News.
Showbread has done something that very few bands want to do or are allowed to do which is release 2 brand new albums on the same day.
Each record contains twelve completely different songs although a lot of the names overlap between albums. The records are soundtracks to a story called ‘Anorexia Nervosa’ which is split into two, ten chapter segments, one segment comes included with one record and the second comes with the other.
As you read the story, the album acts as a musical accompaniment to the text. In addition to the two albums that will be released in stores, a limited printing of a special edition package will be made available for everyone who wants the most in depth experience of ‘Anorexia Nervosa’ possible.
Below is a message from the band about the release of the new albums.
“Our new double album opus: “Anorexia” and “Nervosa” are now in stores. These are not just albums, they are experiences that take place in your mind, ears and heart. Each record comes with a special storybook to be read along with the music. These albums tell the tragic/beautiful stories of two sisters…
Best Buy is offering a “2 for $20″ deal to make it easier to buy both albums at once. DO NOT buy from itunes or similar digital retailers, they will not come with the story books.
Go out, buy both albums, take this journey with Anorexia and her sister Nervosa.
This is by far the greatest work Showbread has completed.”
