How many band’s does it take to put out basically the same record before it’s not a coincidence anymore? The Maine follow behind Forever The Sickest Kids, The Cab and others in the slick, pop, glam rock style which has apparently caught fire. The rise of boy rock bands is officially underway.

First thing I’m recommending is entering our Less Than Jake contest which has some sweet prizes and good odds at winning. Second recommendation is listening to the band. It would seem that most people have heard them but if you haven’t, give them a chance even if ska isn’t your thing. Just saying.

If this album is thought of and taken for the B-side album that it is, then it’s fantastic. On the other hand even Relient K’s songs that weren’t good enough for their other records are better than a lot of the music out there today.

This EP is very close to being really good but it falls short in several areas, the biggest being the band member’s showing their ages. Both “Seasons” and “She’s Got The Rhythm” are the stand out tracks on the short album.

Full of huge rock anthems and booming rock vocals the new record from Kutless will hit a soft spot with a good amount of people. When listening to the album straight through all the way it can get a bit monotonous but overall a decent release from the band.
Go back and listen to The New Frontiers album ‘Mending’ which came out digitally at the beginning of the year and in stores sometime in April. This is a near perfect folk/rock debut for the band and is definitely in the top 10 albums of 2008.
Those who are already fans of the band have nothing to worry about and should just buy the record (even if you haven’t heard anything from it). Those of you who aren’t fans but are curious may actually find something you like or at least something you listen to secretly and never tell anyone [...]
