You could argue that some of Mute Math’s more successful songs on their last album were pop though, so maybe it wouldn’t be a bad thing; if it IS a pop album. I think they’ll probably take the same route as their last release and just try to make it as diverse as possible.
My expectations for this album are so high that it’s really unfair to them. I can’t wait until the world gets to hear this band’s talent, though. They have that scary potential that you only attribute to bands who define a generation of music. I honostly think that Mute Math will pick up where Radiohead left off.
I agree with everything you said and I didn’t mean the pop thing bad I think this band could pull off a disco album is they wanted to.
also I am usually nervous when I get too excited for a cd because the band usually can’t live up to it but mute math is one of the few I know will put out quality.
