1 Liner: Surrogate – Popular Mechanics
Surrogate will probably still be playing to the same niche audience they were before, but the mellow, slightly folk inspired, rock that appears on ‘Popular Mechanics’ is clearly improved over their last release and superb from start to finish. The record has a steady build to it which long car rides and extended listens will help you appreciate. The subtle brilliance that litters the record is what makes this an inspiring listen to those lucky enough to find it.

Song to start with: “Water Tower”

i listened to it on spinner last night…i enjoyed it a bit, but i wouldn’t want to listen to it on a long car ride…i’d fall asleep and die and i can’t afford to be cryogenically frozen
