Daily Rec: 11/24
I think “The Delusional” was the song that confirmed my thought that Josh Freedman, or I Am Not An Earth, sounds a lot like Noise Ratchet. With every song on the album, ‘Citizen’, starting with the word “The” there is definitely a story and more to the project, but for now all you have to worry about is that all the songs are top notch, and the album is completely free on the band’s site.

Most of these “freebie” type indie albums might occasionally have a song with a killer hook, or a few tunes that you could listen to all the way through once or twice. But I was instantly addicted to this album and found myself listening to it all the way through day after day. I got this album in August and even now every time an ianae song pops up on “shuffle” I am still delighted and will never press skip. This is more than I can say of some of my most favorite chart-topping bands.
