Daily Rec: 2/2
I wish I would have been all over the latest release from The Most Serene Republic back when it came out in July of last year. ’…And The Ever Expanding Universe’ is comprised of an orchestral of sound, weaving in typical folk instruments into a group of melodies. “Heavens To Purgatory” should hook you in mere seconds making my job seem easy with today’s rec. Enjoy.

After listening to “Population” I had very high expectations for “And The Ever Expanding Universe” and I have to say I’m slightly disappointed. Maybe I came into this album expecting too much, but I can’t even tell you a stand out track in my mind. I’ll give it some time, and maybe this album will find it’s way back into regular rotation on my playlist. For now, I’ll stick to Population.

Interesting. Maybe just because I am starting with their new stuff, I see it differently, but I love the new album.

One of about 3 band with female vocalists that I don’t find annoying. Thanks for the rec.

Only 3? Not saying you like them but would Meg & Dia count as 1 band or 2 vocalists?

1 band. I count Eisley as 1 even though they have 2 singers. I don’t really find Meg & Dia annoying, I just don’t really listen to/like them.
