There’s only room for one mental case in Donald Trump‘s administration.
And seeing as that role is already taken up by POTUS himself, FBI Director (and Trump-certified “nut job”) James Comey sadly had to go.
Last week, the President reportedly bragged to two top Russian officials that firing the “crazy” director relieved “great pressure” on all those pesky colluding-with-Russia rumors that just won’t go away!
According to The New York Times, he said:
“I just fired the head of the FBI. He was crazy, a real nut job. I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.”
This came up during Trump’s Oval Office meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak that took place one day after Comey got the boot.
This was also the meeting where the Big Cheeto spilled top secret information about ISIS that came from Israel through a sensitive intelligence sharing arrangement — a slip up that Israeli officials said confirmed their “worst fears.“
Trump’s worst fear, according to bush-man Sean Spicer, is apparently being unable to “engage and negotiate” with Russia — which is why the President had to put an end to Comey’s “grandstanding and politicizing the investigation into Russia’s actions.”
The Spice Man said Comey was creating “unnecessary pressure” on the ability to work with Russia, telling CNN:
“The President has always emphasized the importance of making deals with Russia as it relates to Syria, Ukraine, defeating ISIS and other key issues for the benefit and safety of the American people… The investigation would have always continued, and obviously, the termination of Comey would not have ended it.”
Hold on. The FBI Director didn’t want to negotiate with the country currently being investigated for getting Trump elected!? Well, that’s just MADNESS!!!
You can fire as many directors as you want, Donny, but that pressure isn’t going away!
