The last thing this scene needs is another record from another trendy pop/punk band, but I guess if there is going to be another one I’d want it to be from Every Avenue. From key changes to painfully predictable generic lyrics, this album has it all, but in the end it is still entertaining. At least unlike smoking, this bad habit of occasionally liking generic music doesn’t kill.

Let’s be honest for a minute and admit that Every Avenue is basically cashing in on all pop punk that has come before them. That being said I still really enjoy ‘Shh. Just Go With It’. The album doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it doesn’t appear to be trying to. The album tries to inject as many lyrical and musical hooks into the songs as possible and thats what it does.

If you follow the band’s advice and “just go with it”, you should be very pleased with the new album. Granted the record isn’t perfect and you may need to get over a few minor flaws but Every Avenue have managed to back up their great EP with a solid full length album.
