Was I blown away by this album? Yes, I was. After the band put out, in my mind, one of the worst albums I thought there might not be anything they could do to make me listen again, but they stepped things up so greatly that it blew me away. This album is dynamic, catchy, and, beyond anything, fun. Don’t get me wrong, the album isn’t groundbreaking or anything too special, but it’s good.

Song to start with: “Eggshells”

This band has been through many different stages and style within their “pop/punk” genre, finally arriving at ‘Live Life Loud’. At one point early on I sort of saw this band as the Christian version of Sum 41, but their last and most recent record ‘…Is My Friend’ was so bland and boring that I wrote them off for future releases.

Hawk Nelson has been around long enough to gain that name recognition which important for the causal music consumer. The question now becomes whether the band ignites the excitement they once did or maybe for you an excitement they never did before.
