1 Liner: Keane – Perfect Symmetry

Keane’s first record (Hopes And Fears) which was filled piano anthems won me over with very little effort, their second release (Under The Iron Sea) however left me wanting a lot more. On their 3rd studio album, Keane has mixed the best of both albums and put out one solid record. ‘Perfect Symmetry’ is a mix between bands like Athelete, The Killers, and U2 which is a great combination. If ‘Under An Iron Sea’ didn’t do it for you, don’t give up hope as Keane are back.

Haven’t heard much about the new Keane record which drops in October so I thought now would be a good time to mention it. It looks as if the days of piano heavy songs like ones that appear on ‘Hopes And Fears’ are gone after listening to the new song, “Spiraling”. Then again the label thought it would be smart to only put a minute clip of the song instead of the whole song, not smart. If this is the first time you are hearing about this band, do go back and listen to their older album, ‘Hopes And Fears’.

1 Liner: Telograph – Self Titled EP

With similar qualities to other major artists Keane, Snow Patrol and even Starsailor, Telograpgh is poised to make an impact when people finally catch on. The album is a mellow rockers dream complete with strong, deep vocals and ballad-esque songs.
