1 Liner: fun. – Aim And Ignite

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

‘Aim And Ignite’ is just as much fun as you would expect, laced with instruments and tempos of all sizes. As much as I enjoyed The Format, this new band from the previous lead singer is overall a better experience. While some melodies are definitely comparable to those whimsical ones of Panic At The Disco, fun. still has a more authentic and indie feel which results in a more enjoyable experience and better product.

Boring At The Disco

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

After watching the video below of Panic At The Disco performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, I realize just how tame and, can I say boring, the band is. There is some sort of reality distortion field around the band that has been created in promo photos, music videos and even the albums that makes this band seem more extravagant than they actually are.

3of5.jpgArguably one of the most anticipated record of 2008. Whether its because you couldn’t wait to listen to it and enjoy it, or it’s because you couldn’t wait to bash it is a different story.

1 Liner: Panic At The Disco – Pretty. Odd.

Well the title explains the records contents very well. It’s both pretty and odd, as well as pretty odd. Honestly the band somehow managed to slip through a little crack and release a respectable 2nd album, even though the odds were definitely against them.

Hyped Just Alittle?

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

So incase some of you haven’t been following, Panic At The Disco and Lyida will both be releasing albums soon and to say there has been a bit of hype for each would be an understatement. Does the hype ruin a record or help it?

I love finding out that an album is coming out this week, or one I missed and it is already out because then I don’t have to wait for it. When a band announces it months and months in advance and then posts every week about the progress sometimes the anticipation outweighs the results and an album that may actually be decent gets put aside because it isn’t as great as I thought it would be.

Any thoughts?
