Much of the band’s success comes from the early record, ‘The Guest’ (or ‘Phantom Planet Was Here’) which was released back in 2002. I have a feeling though that the future success of the band will be largely attributed to ‘Raise The Dead’.

Phantom Planet is most known for the song “California” which is actually quite far from the sound of the new record. The band mixes grunge rock with just enough pop to keep the radio listeners happy. ‘Raise The Dead’ will probably be looked back on, or even now seen as a high point in the band’s career.
