Daily Rec: 9/15 [Too Good To Be Forgotten Edition]
Tuesday, September 15th, 2009Remember how I made a post about So Long Forgotten recently? Well they have now released their new album in the form of ‘pay what you want’ or for free when you tell 5 people. This album is too good to go unnoticed. Wrapped in indie rock, passion fills every song with easy comparisons to established bands like Thrice and Thursday who have been known to have both heavier and softer moments. Please leave any feedback you have in the comments.

[just in case there is any confusion, you can get the album on the band's myspace half way down the page under 'Noisetrade']

A whirlwind of fury is not unexpected at this point in the band’s career, but still appreciated. After roughly 12 years Thursday has yet to become watered down or irrelevant with ‘Common Existence’ being another cornerstone in a history of solid records.
“Kill The House Lights” is a very interesting mix of new songs, demos, live songs and b-sides. Whether or not the purpose of the record was to show off the different dimensions and pieces of the band it really does. The styles and different tracks that the album has offer should appeal to all the different fans that the band has.
